A common question for both newbie and experienced researchers when beginning a project is: “Where do I start?” In this section we offer two answers to that question.
One answer is the wealth of user guides, new and old, that can be found online and in library collections. User guides are a great way to find out what exists and where it can be found. Let those who have gone before you into a subject area leave some bread crumbs, so that you do not get lost.
Another answer lies with gathering and using vocabulary that you will need for your research journey. Keyword searching and established subject terms will help you along the path.
And do not forget a third source of assistance: librarians. Good hunting!
